As you’ll know, in April 2018, Praesumo announced its commitment to support homeless and vulnerable adults in Leeds through their new charity partnership with St George’s Crypt.
St George’s Crypt is a Leeds-based charity that works with homeless and vulnerable adults providing immediate care and support, food and accommodation. In doing this, they run a recovery programme, engagement activities and skills training in order to ensure those accessing the service have the tools needed to make the positive change they need. Working with homeless and vulnerable adults in Leeds, they encounter service users with multiple and complex needs including addiction, mental health, learning difficulties, poverty, unemployment and homelessness. All of the services provided work towards employability and transformation.
St George’s Crypt was an obvious choice for Praesumo when deciding on which charity to support for the year. With our office based in Leeds city centre, the need for the services provided by those such as St George’s Crypt is increasingly evident.
Over the course of eight months in 2018, Praesumo raised money for St George’s Crypt through a number of different ways. This included a percentage of each placement’s fee being donated, Praesumo Partner, Aaron Henning, taking part in a physically gruelling weekend challenge in Scotland, a fun run undertaken by the son of our Client Relationship Manager, Katie, staff paying for their coffees in the kitchen and the sale of tickets for St George’s Christmas raffle. With three months’ of Praesumo’s commitment to this charity still to go, Praesumo are delighted to announce that they have so far raised over £2,300.
The money raised will help St George’s Crypt to continue the excellent level of provision they deliver to those accessing the advice, care and support, food and accommodation when they need it the most. We can’t wait to give to give it one final push as we continue on our fundraising challenge!
