Jamie Rivers, formerly of BC Partners, has been recruited by Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) to take on the role of Managing Director of its UK equity and mezzanine team.

Whilst at BC, Jamie’s key deals include Acuris, CarTrawler, Cote Restaurants, Elysium and VetPartners.

The focus in his new role will be on finding UK investments for the asset manager’s European funds.

ICG’s Europe Fund VII closed in November 2018 with €4bn of third-party commitments, representing a 60 per cent increase on its predecessor fund, and total commitments of €4.5bn.

“ICG’s investment approach is predicated on having deep, on the ground investment expertise and Jamie has an excellent track record of making successful investments in the UK market,” said ICG chief executive Benoit Durteste.
