Ctrl, formerly part of Deloitte in the Netherlands, has been acquired by MUIS Software, the accounting and administration software provider which is backed by Main Capital. Working with financial service providers for the SME market and larger companies, Ctrl has developed an online collaboration platform that is both GDPR compliant and supports the workflow of accountants

The management buyout of Bertram Nursery Group has been backed by Apiary Capital which sees growth capital proivder Rockpool Investments exit as part of the deal. Founded in 2001 when Bertram opened it’s first nursery in Edinburgh, Strawberry Hill, the group now has 36 nurseries across North West England and Scotland, employs approximately 800 staff

According to data from Prequin, less than a fifth of roles in the private equity industry are held by women – the lowest proportion of any alternative asset class. The representation of female employees differs across industry roles and career levels: 53 per cent of women are in investor relations whereas 13 per cent hold
