It’s been three months since Praesumo announced St George’s Crypt as their charity of the year for 2018.
St George’s Crypt is a Leeds-based charity that works with homeless and vulnerable adults providing immediate care and support, food and accommodation. In doing this, they run a recovery programme, engagement activities and skills training in order to ensure those accessing the service have the tools needed to make the positive change they need. Working with homeless and vulnerable adults in Leeds, they encounter service users with multiple and complex needs including addiction, mental health, learning difficulties, poverty, unemployment and homelessness. All of the services provided work towards employability and transformation.
In the past two months, Praesumo has committed to raising much-needed funds for the Leeds-based charity through a variety of ways including taking part in an endurance weekend, charging staff for their complementary coffees and donating a percentage of the placement fees.
Praesumo is delighted to announce that in this time they have raised £1000 from the donation of a percentage of their placement fees. Talking about the fee-total so far, Aaron Henning, Praesumo Partner said “We are pleased with the fundraising progress and it’s great to see how much we’ve raised in such a short amount of time. I have seen first-hand how this money will make a difference in helping to change the lives of those in need accessing the service”.
This is just the beginning of a year-long commitment to fundraising, keep your eyes peeled for further updates. You can find out more about the work of St George’s Crypt on their website.
