The management buyout of bus ticketing technology provider Ticketer, has been backed by Tenzing.
Providing smart electronic ticketing technology across the UK’s bus sector, Ticketer allows passengers to use payment technologies that give bus operators real-time data and insights.
The technology used by Ticketer provides bus operators with improved levels of service and effifiency and the business has continued to grow since it’s launch in 2010. Maintaining an impressive 70% share of the market, the company’s clients include UK regional bus operators along with larger national operators such as First Bus, Arriva, and Go-Ahead. The company’s revenues have grown over 50 per cent year-on-year over the last three years.
The investment will see lower mid-market firm Tenzing support Ticketer’s management team, led by co-founders John Clarfelt and Gordon Montgomery, in its ambition to continue to grow the business in the UK and internationally.
